Mini School

My friends and I stared a mini school where we all take turns taking all the kids and teaching them a little lesson while the other moms get an hour break. This week was our fourth week, and my turn. I had thought about doing my lesson on Valentine's Day but I found some cute things for vegetables. First we talked about vegetables and watercolored some pictures. Then I gave them some carrots, green pepers, brocoli and lettuce I had cut up. They all loved dipping the vegetables in ranch dressing and ate way more then I thought they would. We played a bean bag toss game listing our favorite vegetables and their colors. The hour went by really quickly and before I knew it my turn was over!
Why is my kid the only one whose name doesn't start with a C or K?

I have to tell you, McKinlee was so excited when she got home telling me about vegetables. It seemed like she had a lot of fun, and also learned something! Thanks!

Krista, the C, the K and Mcks are so the "in" thing in Utah! Way to go on different names. I love Ruby and Porter. (not that your friends' names aren't cute, I'm just saying, they are big out there I've noticed...) Nice going with veggies, you're so creative.

Will you come over and teach my boys how important veggies are?
