Family Day

(can you tell they are excited?)

Sam was home on Saturday afternoon so we decided to take advantage of it and have a family fun day. We didn't tell the kids where we were going just that we were going to have lots of fun and they had fun making lots of crazy guesses. Porter has been asking about going bowling for a long time so he was really excited when we pulled into the parking lot.
Ruby bowled by herself.

Ruby bowled with her Daddy when we realized it would take hours to bowl 2 games at the speed she could push the ball.

Porter bowled mostly on his own, I love how he was swinging his arms so much. Porter did really well and I think he got a spare. Thank goodness for bumper lanes because he got discouraged when he only got a couple pins down and would have hated getting a gutter ball.

Byron watched and got passed back and forth. I love this knitted hat I bought him.

But he is also adorable without it.

Ruby insisted on being glamourous and wearing her sunglasses even though we were indoors and it was cloudy and cold outside.
We think next time we will only play one game because the kids got a little tired by the time we were done. Ruby had a meltdown as we were leaving because she wanted to ride on the merry go round. I had to laugh as we told her she was being ungrateful because I remember leaving many family events with my parents saying the same thing.
