Our Ward had a 50's party and my friends and I all decided to make poodle skirts, but I use the term "poodle" loosely because only two skirts had poodles. I, of course, love black, white and red, so I made matching skirts for Ruby and me. Our skirts had flowers that I made using ribbon and my knifty knitter flower loom. The skirts turned out really well and we are all trying to think of another excuse to wear the skirts. I got Ruby all dressed up and took her picture so she has the standard hamming it up for the camera, mouth wide open, squinty eyes smile.I will add more pictures later and probably another post about the party when I am able to edit pictures.

Sour Spray
Sam took Porter to the store the other day and Porter convinced his Dad to buy him a treat. Daddy of course let him pick whatever he wanted and didn't check to see what it was. Porter came home with one of those horrible warhead sour sprays but he must have tried it out in the car because the second he showed it to me he told me it was gross. Well for some odd reason I didn't throw it away and Porter decided that he wanted to give it another try. It was hilarious watching his sour face. He wanted to spray it in my mouth and I said not unless he sprayed himself first and let me take his picture. He agreed and this is what I got, I love it!

Valentine's Day
I made these Valentine cards and sent them to our family members. I had forgotten to send the Christmas cards. If you didn't get a Christmas or Valentine card, sorry, but I will try harder next Christmas.
Valentine's Day is always fun around our house because no matter what we get lots of fun presents. My Dad always gives me See's chocolate, yummy! My father-in-law always sends roses to all the girls and this year Ruby and I both got roses! A friend came over and saw the roses and told Sam "wow you did good" but then Sam had to say "They're from my Dad", ha ha. Sam bought Porter and Ruby presents to show them how much he loves them. (I think it is really really important that little girls know how much their Daddy's love them.) I really didn't want to fight the dinner crowd for Valentine's Day so a friend of ours watched the kids while we had a fantastic lunch at Ninja's. I love Ninja's, it is a japanese steak house, for dinner but then we went for lunch and it is a whole different menu and it is so so good too!

Mini School
My friends and I stared a mini school where we all take turns taking all the kids and teaching them a little lesson while the other moms get an hour break. This week was our fourth week, and my turn. I had thought about doing my lesson on Valentine's Day but I found some cute things for vegetables. First we talked about vegetables and watercolored some pictures. Then I gave them some carrots, green pepers, brocoli and lettuce I had cut up. They all loved dipping the vegetables in ranch dressing and ate way more then I thought they would. We played a bean bag toss game listing our favorite vegetables and their colors. The hour went by really quickly and before I knew it my turn was over!
Why is my kid the only one whose name doesn't start with a C or K?
